Borough Little League Registration Continues
A list of five things you should know for Thursday, Jan. 12.
Weather
According to the National Weather Service, today there is a chance of rain in the early morning, the rest of the day it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. During the night, there is another chance of showers, mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
Little League
Registration for the 2012 season of the Freehold Borough Little League will be held on the upstairs level of the American Legion Hall, beginning at 7 p.m. and going until 9 p.m.
Support Group
First Presbyterian Church will have an AA meeting at 8:15 p.m.
High School Sports
The Freehold Colonials boys and girls basketball teams play against Neptune today. The girls will travel to Neptune and take the court at 5:15 p.m. The boys will play at home at 5:30 p.m.
The Colonial Wrestling team is also competing today against Keyport. The team will travel to Keyport and take the mat at 6 p.m.
At 6:20 p.m. the Colonial Ice Hockey team will be playing in Manasquan against Manasquan High School.
The Township Patriots boys and girls basketball teams take on Marlboro High School today. The girls will play at Marlboro High School and the boys will play at home. Both games are at 4 p.m.
Kids Events
Author Helen Chantel Pike and singer songwriter Maureen McCrink will perform 4 pieces about love, childhood, self-identity and happiness. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Barkalow School Media Center and all are welcome. For information on the branch contact Marcia Saltzman at (732) 928-2478.
Barnes and Noble is holding a story time and craft event today at 11 a.m. The featured story today is "Woodney Wat's Wobot" by Helen Lester.
