Borough Man Arrested After Alleged Robbery with a Weapon
Borough resident, Lateef Schuler, was arrested after allegedly robbing a man with a firearm.
A Freehold Borough Man has been arrested and charged on three different counts involving an alleged robbery with a firearm.
According to the complaint warrant, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, Lateef Schuler, 27, of McDermott Street, committed an act of robbery. During the alleged robbery, police say Schuler pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded to take his money. The complaint warrant named the weapon used in the robbery as a Black Semi Automatic B.B. gun.
Patrolman Samuel Hernandez was the arresting officer.
Schuler’s has been charged with second–degree charge of robbery, a second-degree charge of possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and a third-degree charge of unlawful possession of a weapon, according to the complaint warrant.
Schuler has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $140,000 bail.
