One week after winning a free concert from 92.3 NOW Freehold High School students have officially learned that Cher Lloyd will be coming to Freehold.
Earlier this week, an online petition created by Freehold High School students stated that due to a FRHSD policy the students did not believe they would be able to have the concert they had won. The statement issued by the FRHSD dispelled rumors that the contest was forfeited due to a Board of Education policy.
The district’s statement explained that the Freehold High School administration worked with the Office of Freehold Township Mayor Anthony Ammaino and other local businesses regarding the logistical requirements of having a concert.
“I am extremely proud of the students for demonstrating Freehold High School spirit. This is a prime example of what happens when our students get behind an endeavor, and it is really all about school pride and the prize was winning,” shared Freehold High School Principal, Linda Jewel in the district’s statement.
The statement said that the concert for Freehold High School students will be held at iPlay America in November. An exact date has not been determined yet.
