Downtown Concert Series' Season Concludes With Eduardo Villa

The Downtown Concert Series committee is preparing for a second season.

The Downtown Concert Series concluded its 2010-2011 season with an event featuring operatic tenor Eduardo Villa on May 7. The Metropolitan Opera singer performed works by Georges Bizet, Gaetano Donizetti, Giacomo Puccini, Joaquin Rodrigo and Paolo Tosti, among others.

The Downtown Concert Series began in March 2010 and has blossomed under the direction of St. Peter's Director of Music and Organist Mark Hyczko. Hyzcko accompanied Villa on the piano during Saturday night's concert.

Attendees also had the opportunity to view watercolor paintings by artist Michael J. Turner, whose work will be included in the Red Horse Art Gallery's first auction on Friday, May 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
