Educational Foundation Raising Funds for Music Programs

A list of five things you need to know for Tuesday, Aug. 2

 

Weather

Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 90 degrees and an overnight low of 64, according to the National Weather Service.

Donate to Music Programs

The Freehold Borough Arts Council (FBAC) is helping the Freehold Borough Educational Foundation (FBEF) raise $3,000 to purchase musical instruments for borough schools. The Peter Jay Sharp Foundation has offered FBEF a four to one challenge grant. For every dollar raised up to $3,000, the Peter Jay Sharp Foundation will match it four times. (Click on the PayPal button on the top right of the FBAC’s Web site to make a donation.)

National Night Out

The Freehold Borough Police Department will sponsor a local National Night Out event on Tuesday, Aug. 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Monmouth County Hall of Records parking lot on Main Street in Downtown Freehold.

National Night Out is a nationwide one-night rally where citizens and law enforcement join forces to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

Freehold Township Senior Center

The Freehold Township Senior Center will host free knitting and crocheting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Free line dancing will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. for $6.

Bingo

The Freehold Jewish Center will host bingo on Tuesday from 7:45 p.m. to 10 p.m.
