Freehold Borough PBA Holds National Night Out

Event will be held at the Hall of Records Parking Lot.

In a continuing effort to strengthen positive ties with the community, the Freehold Borough PBA Local 159 announced its participation in National Night Out.

The event will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the Hall of Records Parking Lot from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will feature multiple family fun events.

"The National Night Out is one of the most important community events between a local police force and the residents and businesses it serves and protects," says Freehold Borough Detective John Reiff. "It builds the fundamental and cooperative relationship between the force and families, teaching youth that we are their protectors, allies and friends."

The Freehold Borough National Night Out is free for guests, and will feature a host of fun activities for children, such as pony and amusement rides, as well as free water and popcorn. The event encourages children and their families to meet their local officers and ask questions about how they work, and how they too can promote safety and security in their homes and neighborhoods.

Local businesses Nestle's Corporation, Sysco, Court Jester, Party Fair, Godsent Janitorial, and the Freehold Optimist Club made this event possible by donations.
