Freehold Man Allegedly Tried to Use Fake Money, Identity at Staples

He is indicted on two counts of forgery.

 

A Monmouth County grand jury indicted a Freehold man with 2 counts of forgery for allegedly using fake money and a fake name.

Michael B. Petterson, 37, of Ragley Hall, allegedly tried to use forged money Staples in Howell. When police questioned him, Hall allegedly gave false information to the reporting officer.

Petterson is indicted on one count of uttering a forged instrument, a third degree crime, and hindering apprehension of oneself, a fourth degree crime.
