Damn our police have been busy dealing with crap. Thank you, Patch for keeping us filled in and seeing the good work the police department does.

The greatest thing Patch could do to give the people of Freehold Boro a peek at the realities of life in the Boro is to routinely publish a police blotter. People don't realize half of the crap that goes on day in and day out -- and if they did, they'd undoubtedly be demanding that the Town Council double the FPD's budget so they had the right people, equipment, and resources to deal with it effectively.

Jackie, that is why I complimented the patch for this and other stories they do. Residents need to be fully aware of what is going on around them. Recently I submitted a suggestion to the patch to develop some sort of online neighborhood watch for residents. It would need to be done with some cautions and safeguards but I like the idea of being alerted and being able to alert others of problems. A while ago some of my neighbors and I were very unhappy to find out about burglaries in our area after the suspect was caught. We should have been alerted so that we knew to be more careful than usual and also look out for one another.
