Freehold Represents on 'The Voice'

Two residents appeared on the new NBC show.

Not one but two Freehold residents made appearances on NBC’s new series "The Voice" Tuesday night.

Sonia Rao and Joann Rizzo sang for music stars Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton on the show’s first episode.

Rao performed “If I Ain’t Got You” and Rizzo offered up her version of “I Say a Little Prayer.”

While neither singer was able to convince a judge to take them onto their team—necessary to get to the next round—the pair wowed the in-studio audience.
