Freehold Township Creates Brush Collection Map
Map shows in red which streets in town have had brush collected.
A special emergency brush collection update has been issued for Freehold Township residents.
According to the township’s website, brush left from Hurricane Sandy has been continuously collected since the storm hit, however, despite the township’s best efforts, collection may continue well into January and February.
In order to keep residents informed, the township has created a map that illustrates where brush has been collected in town. The red areas of the map show which streets have been completed. Areas that remain to be collected are not highlighted. The announcement states that the map will be updated often.
The brush collection update states Public Works has been working six extended work days per week, and has employed the services of multiple contracting agencies for equipment and services to collect brush left behind from Hurricane Sandy. While the township is sympathetic to the inconvenience of the brush waiting to be collected, residents are asked for their continued patience during the cleanup of Freehold Township.
