Freehold Township and Freehold Borough schools will remain closed on Monday, Nov. 5.

Both the Freehold Township district website and Freehold Borough school website stated that all schools will be closed Monday, Nov. 5.

Freehold Township's website explained that the closure came from most schools in the district being without power, as well as many families in the area. In addition to schools being closed, school offices will also be closed on Monday.

As originally scheduled, Freehold Township schools and offices will be closed for Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The website states that due to the cancellation of the NJEA Teacher’s Convention on Thursday and Friday, the district is allowed to amend their calendar and open schools if there is power.
