How to be Hurricane Ready
An e-mail alert was sent out to Freehold Borough residents on how to prepare for a hurricane.
With hurricane season upon us, and the Supercell storm of July 28 still fresh on the minds of many Freehold Borough residents, Mayor Nolan Higgins passed on a Hurricane Survival Guide for residents to follow.
The survival guide was sent out to residents in an email alert. According to the survival guide, hurricane season lasts from June 1 until Nov. 30 but for New Jersey, Tropical Storm activity is typically between August and late October.
The survival guide provides a list of websites that provide up to date information about storms, suggestions on how to make a hurricane plan, and how to build a hurricane kit.
