Inmate Allegedly Found with Cell Phone

Man at MCCI is accused of possessing a cell phone while incarcerated.

 

An inmate at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution may have another charge added to his sentence after he was allegedly found in possession of a cell phone.

Hughes Jean, 48, of Long Branch, was allegedly found in possession of the phone on Friday, Oct. 5. According to Jean’s complaint warrant, an inmate in possession of a cell phone is considered a serious crime.

The complaint warrant did not state how the cell phone was found or how Jean received the device.

For this charge, Jean’s bail was set at $15,000.
