Customers still in the dark are eligible for free water and ice.
Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) expects to restore power to the majority of its 4,000 New Jersey customers without power by midnight, according to a press release issued by company spokesperson Ron Morano. Isolated, individual outages may last until Monday.

“JCP&L crews worked through the night and will continue their efforts until all power is restored,” the JCP&L release stated.
By 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, power had been restored to all but 2,846 residents in Monmouth County. Freehold Township and Freehold Borough account for over 2,200 of those currently without service.

Barkalow Ave in the Boro is still out at 9:15 am Monday morning. We were forced to stay at the Raddison last night and all of our refrigerated food has been tossed. What an ordeal.

Time to buy a generator. Usually pays for itself during the first event.

Broadway got power back around 11:30 on Saturday evening. Sorry about those around Barkalow who seem to have been in the main path of the storm

Just got power back on Pittenger about 5 minutes ago. Generator saved the food, and thank goodness, no flooding in the basement.
