Marlboro Police and the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office are investigating a home invasion which occurred Wednesday afternoon on Opatut Court in Morganville. A strong police presence could be seen outside the home.
Homeowner Elliott Kreppel told reporters he came home to walk his dog, and found his nanny tied up and his house a mess. The nanny told police she had been thrown against a wall, but no critical injuries were reported.
According to CBS New York, Kreppel's wife and children were not home at the time of the incident. The nanny was able to provide police with a description.
Marlboro Police Captain Steve Mennona said he could not comment on the incident yet, but preliminary stages of the investigation are being handled by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
Monmouth County First Assistant Prosecutor Richard Incremona said no arrest has been made at this time.

Rather than having multiple police cars hiding on School Rd (by fire dept, shopping center and/or school lot) waiting to ticket a speeder as the speed limit changes at those junctures, a better use of police officer time would be patroling the blocks so that burglars are detered and residents are safer. More emphasis should be placed on patroling and less emphasis should be placed on generating revenue from tickets. Just my two cents,
