The Lakewood BlueClaws wasted no time naming a new General Manager with opening day just around the corner and did not have to look far to find a new leader.
Brandon Marano, who most recently served as the team's Assistant General Manager of Operations, was named the new GM this week according to a story posted on the team's website.
Marano has spent more than a decade with the BlueClaws and succeeds Geoff Brown, the team's original general manager who recently left for a job with the Rutgers University athletic department.
The BlueClaws will have another busy year at FirstEnergy Park including hosting the South Atlantic League All Star Game for the second time in the team's history.
