Music University Concert at Freehold Raceway Mall

A list of five things you need to know Thursday, Sept. 22.

 

Weather

Thursday will be cloudy with a 60 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Music University Performance

Music University students will perform on the grassy area outside of the Cheesecake Factory at Freehold Raceway Mall on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The musicians range in age from eight to 18 years and will perform covers and originals.

Bands include The New Royalty, As You Wish, Over The Edge, Invincible, Phase 4, Breaking Silence, One More Thing, and Once Every Thursday.

In the event of inclement weather, performances will take place inside near the entrance to Macy’s.

Hardy Perennials

The Friends of the Library will present a hardy perennials program at the Freehold Public Library on Thursday at 7 p.m. Learn tricks of the trade from a Monmouth County master gardener. The program is free. To register, call 732-462-5135.

Meetings

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a workshop meeting at the Hall of Records building on Thursday at 1 p.m. and a regular meeting at the Camp Evans and Marconi Hotel in Wall at 7 p.m.

The Freehold Township Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

High School Sports

Colonials boys soccer plays Red Bank Catholic away at 3:45 p.m., while girls soccer hosts the Caseys at 4 p.m. Girls volleyball plays Colts Neck at home at 4 p.m.
