Anthony J. Bonomo, 89, of Freehold died on Monday, April 30 at CentraState Medical Center. 

Bonomo was born in Brooklyn, to the parents of Alessio and Carmela Bonomo, was raised and had lived there until moving to The Villages in Freehold in 2009.

Bonomo was a U.S. Army Veteran during World War II serving in the Pacific Theater.  He was 1949 graduate of the City College of New York and was a Certified Public Accountant.  Bonomo was the Treasurer for General Papers Goods Company, Brooklyn for over thirty years retiring in 1988. 

In retirement, he worked as an associate for Collabella & Company, Brooklyn. Bonomo was a long time member of AICPA. 

He was a former parishioner of St. Frances of de Chantal in Brooklyn and a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Freehold Township.

Bonomo is survived by his wife, Sarina Bonomo; a daughter, Camille Cugini and her husband, Henry of Freehold Township; three sons, Anthony Bonomo and his wife, Rosemarie of Hamilton, Robert Bonomo of Mineola, NY, and David Bonomo and his wife, MaryAnn of Summit; twelve grandchildren, Melissa Gray and her husband, Chris, Michael Cugini and his wife, Kellen, Daniel Cugini, Laura Cugini, Anthony L. Bonomo, Thomas, Bonomo, Gregory Bonomo, Luke Bonomo, Serena Bonomo, David P. Bonomo Jr., Jack Bonomo, and Michael Bonomo; a great granddaughter, Giovanna; two brothers, John Bonomo and his wife, Cathy of Queens, NY and Philip Bonomo and his wife, Katie of Silver Springs, MD.

Visiting will be at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Relatives and friends may gather at 9:00 AM at the funeral home on Thursday, May 3, 2012 for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church for his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass.  Interment to follow in Old Tennent Cemetery in Tennent, NJ.
