Dorothy Kapanjie, 88, of Freehold Township, died on Thursday, Feb. 16 at Meadow Lakes Care Center, East Windsor. Born in Paterson, she lived in Clifton, before moving to the Raintree section of Freehold Township. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Freehold and Order of the Eastern Star of Paterson.

Kapanjie was predeceased by her husband, George, and brothers, Arnold and Roy Simpson. She is survived by her children, David Kapanjie of Ridley Park, PA, Jane Vanderzee of Atlanta, GA, Steven Kapanjie of Perrineville, NJ, and Eileen Cassulis of Hubbardsville, NY; 14 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A funeral service will be held on Monday, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
