Police: Resident Uses Piece of Wood as Weapon

A Freehold girl allegedly struck another person with a white piece of wood.

 

Freehold Borough Police arrested and charged a resident after she allegedly used a piece of white wood as a weapon.

Everina Powell, 19, of Barkalow Avenue, faces three weapon related charges following a Thursday, Feb. 28 incident. According to her complaint warrant, Powell knowingly attempted to commit a serious bodily injury against another person by striking them with a piece of wood.

Powell was allegedly found in possession of the piece of wood, she has been charged with two weapon possession charges and one charge of attempting to commit bodily harm.

Powell has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $125,000 bail.
