I woke up to a nice, plowed street this morning in Freehold Township. Many thanks!

As for Manalapan, there wasn't one snow removal truck in our development (Tenent Manor Estates. If it was NYC, there would have been an outrage and they don't pay anywhere the taxes we have. I am not surprised with the present administration in Manalapan.

I live in point o woods, howell. I removed my basketball hoop and put my cars in the driveway, as we were warned and ticketed last year ....NOT ONE PLOW OR SALT TRUCK ...the snow is now packed down and very dangerous , not one truck

As per town, Manalapan did a geat job. I had to travel 537 from Freehold to Burlington County late yesterday afternoon. Monmouth County part of 537 was like it never snowed, entered the Ocean County part and I don't think they plowed. There were tracks where people had traveled that were clear, but the middle was snow mixed with ice and this continued into Burlington County, where it appears that they couldn't even plow the intersections. A great job to the Monmouth County Hwy Dept! Wake up Ocean and Burlington Counties!

Horrible. I live in Freehold Twp. and a plow came in and swept the street once. No salt, no sand. They must be saving that for the Town Council and police chief's streets. The plow came down the middle of the road, leaving about 2 to 3 feet of snow from the curb on both sides. It looks like a job a kid would do. Since they showed up once while it was still snowing and never came back to clean more, it is now a sheet of ice and frozen clumps of slush. So I get to drive my daughter to work shortly and see if I either slam into one of my neighbors parked cars or get a flat tire. I'll bet the public official's streets are pristine.

BTW, I noticed in Marlboro on Friday night plow trucks were pre-treating the roads. All of Ryan Rd. up to Rte. 9 was treated. No such service like that in Freehold Twp. EVER.

Ever since I moved in Woodland Estates all the 'benfits' I receive are increased taxes. Being the last street in the development the street never gets plowed. Never. Really never !

County and State Road were pre treated with Brine...small towns do not own a Brine truck to pre treat...we can only salt, sand and plow....Our guys still do an amazing job getting the fluff off the roads...we really have nothing to complain about...Great job Parks and Recreation and DPW crews at Freehold Twp.!!!

Like Mr. Occhipinti, my block in Manalapan was never plowed. The street is now a sheet of ice. Unlike Mr. Occhipinti however, I don't choose to politicize everything in town. That approach is the exact reason why the lone democratic member of the township coucil is now a former member.

Plenty of, what I assume are contractor plows, up and down the street. They are costing the taxpayer much and accomplishing nothing.

Seems like there's always problems in Freehold Twp. Pathetic they can't clear 2 inches of snow. Every storm Freehold Boro does a much better job and they have alot more traffic and parked cars to deal with. Shame on Freehold Twp. (again).

I live on Johnny Drive in Howell. Our street was never plowed as of Sunday night. And what was even worse was that all of Howell Township rec sports programs were not delayed or cancelled on Saturday. It was very hazardous driving around with our children Saturday morning on all of the local roadways. Never saw a snow plow all the way up until 2pm.

Monmouth Heights in Manalapan has not been plowed - Checked with the township @ 3:00 and 5:00 and was told the trucks are out. This is ridiculous.

It's apparent that the approach in Manalapan is that the ice will melt eventually so why waste resources and money removing it. I have not come across one development in Manalapan that has been plowed. An email to the residents informing us of what is (not) going on would have been nice. Just a general bad job all around on getting this done.

The Rockefeller Estates section of Wall Township was never plowed/salted and was dangerously icy all day Saturday and Sunday. One truck came through in the early morning hours on Saturday and left a faint coating of sand, which was quickly covered by snow and ice. The end of Frances Drive, where it intersects with Brighton Avenue, is a well-known hazard yet remains a sheet of ice, with many vehicles sliding uncontrolably into traffic. Very poor response to our 1st "snowstorm".

In Monmouth Heights Sunday, Taylor Mills was ok and Maxwell was semi-ok. My street was "plowed" (still pretty much slush covered) Monday morning while we were waiting for the school bus which kind of surprised me as I had assumed, since the snow was so light, that they were skipping it. I've lived here over 11 years and noticed a big decline in snow removal last year -- barely a path cleared down the middle of the road in lieu of curb to curb clearing (though, granted, that was for the two big storms).
