Reid Sod Farmer, Lifelong Freehold Resident Dies at 73
Forman Barkalow passed away after a car accident last week, he was a lifelong Freehold.
Forman D. Barkalow, 73, of Freehold, died Tuesday, March 5 in Freehold after his car was involved in a four-car crash on Rt. 9.
Barkalow was born in Freehold and was a lifetime resident. He was a farmer for Reid Sod Farm, Freehold since 1955.
Barkalow is predeceased by his parents, James Everett and Mary Helen Barkalow; and his brother, James Everett Barkalow Jr. Surviving is his sister, Joyce Okerson and her husband Henry of Freehold, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. Friday, March 15 until the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at the Higgins Memorial Home. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
