The Week Ahead: Schools Observe Yom Kippur
A list of meetings and events going on this week in Freehold.
Important School Dates
- Freehold High School, Freehold Township High School, Freehold Borough Schools and Freehold Township Schools will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 26 in observance of Yom Kippur.
- Parents with students in the Freehold Learning Center and Park Avenue Elementary will head back into the classroom for Back to School Night on Thursday, Sept. 27. There will also be an early dismissal for students.
- Back to School Night for parents with students in the Clifton T. Barkalow Middle School and in the C. Richard Applegate Elementary School. Back to School night for Barkalow will begin at 6:45 p.m. Back to School Night for Applegate will begin at 7 p.m
School Meetings
- The Freehold Borough Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday Sept. 24. The meeting will be held in the Park Avenue Elementary School Gymnasium.
- The Freehold Regional High School District’s Board of Education will meet on Monday, Sept. 24. The public portion of the meeting will begin at 8 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Freehold Township High School. Monday’s night agenda can be seen here.
Kruise Night
Freehold Elks Lodge #1454 will hold a Kruise Night on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. Kruise Night will feature classic cars, live music and food. All Proceeds from food sales and donations go to families of NJ fallen heroes and our wounded warriors of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Admission is free. Government Meetings
- The Freehold Borough Historic Preservation will meet at 7 p.m. in the Freehold Borough Offices on Monday, Sept. 24.
- The Freehold Borough Planning Board will meet in the Freehold Borough Offices on Wednesday, Sept. 26. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.
- The Freehold Township Recreation Commission will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Michael J. Tighe Park.
