Filled parking lots and long lines were found at neighborhood stores as residents traveled to find essentials Wednesday.

Freehold Patch facebook readers shared that ShopRite, Acme, Top Tomato, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Mellon Farms were open Wednesday. Today, the Freehold locations of ShopRite and Acme were removed off of the closed store list on their websites and should be open today.

According to the Freehold Raceway Mall’s website and Facebook page, it is still without power and will be closed today.

When heading to stores remember to bring cash. Residents observed that many stores were only accepting cash due to the power outage.
