Mother's Day is Sunday, May 13, and participants in our Reader's Choice survey of favorite places for Mother's Day brunch cast most of their votes for the Buttonwood Manor in Matawan, the Brass Rail Restaurant, also in Matawan, and the Battleground Country Club in Manalapan.

The poll was limited to restaurants that offer a regular Sunday brunch menu or a special Mother's Day brunch. This edition covered restaurants from Freehold, north through Woodbridge and was also be open for voting all week on the following Patch sites: Manalapan, Marlboro, Holmdel, Matawan-Aberdeen and Woodbridge.

Restaurants to vote on in this survey included: Radisson Hotel (Freehold), Cheesecake Factory (Freehold), Market Yard Grille (Freehold), Court Jester (Freehold or Aberdeen), Crown Palace Restaurant (Marlboro), Fireside Grill and Bar (Marlboro), Battleground Country Club (Manalapan), The Sycamore Grille/Knob Hill Golf Club (Manalapan), The Turning Point (Manalapan or Holmdel), Buttonwood Manor (Matawan), The Brass Rail (Matawan), The Hilton Hotel (Woodbridge).

In a companion survey on our Patch sites in Middletown, Red Bank-Shrewsbury, Rumson-Fair Haven, Little Silver-Oceanport and Long Branch-Eatontown, the favorites were the Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank and the Turning Point restaurants in Little Silver and Long Branch. Turning Point also has a restaurant in Holmdel.
