Monmouth County Historical Association President, Claire M. Knopf, stood with Freeholder Lillian Burry and Commissioner Barbara Kolarsick-Harrigan during the Monmouth County Historical Commission’s Annual Awards Presentation on Monday, February 25th at the Hall of Records in Freehold.
At the presentation President Knopf thanked the Commission for their 2013 grant to the Association and talked about the funded project, the exterior painting of the historic Taylor-Butler House in Middletown. This work represents ongoing restoration of this structure.

I am truly overjoyed to hear of restoration of historic properties. I was recently saddened by the state of the Molly Pitcher house in Manalapan-Englishtown. Are there any plans to restore this structure?
