Graduates! Now that you have that degree, are you unsure what to do next? Grab your resumes and head to the New Jersey Collegiate Career Day on May 30 at Rutgers University. From 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., over 150 public and private sector employers will be at the Rutgers Student Center, 126 College Ave. and Brower Commons, 145 College Ave., according to a press release from the university. Free shuttles will be on hand to transport people between the West Stadium parking lot near High Points Solutions Stadium on Busch Campus and the site of the fair. The Jersey Shore is officially open for summer, Gov. Chris Christie said as he spent Friday morning in Seaside Heights promoting tourism in New Jersey. Early Friday, Christie appeared on NBC's Today Show, which broadcast its morning news program live from Seaside Heights. The governor later cut a ceremonial ribbon — a Guinness World Record at over five miles long — to officially declare the shore open. "It's an incredible day for New Jersey," Christie said in remarks. "I'm so thrilled that this morning we're here with the whole country welcoming the Jersey Shore back." With the opening of a facility on Route 9 in Freehold Township, the five-year-old nonprofit is expanding efforts to give children mental and physical tools to build self-confidence and be less susceptible to bullies. “We’re the first anti-bullying and leadership center in the country focusing on preschool through college,” said Gina Marie Raimondo, owner of Kickin’ It Kids Anti-Bullying, Leadership & Learning Center. Between May 20-23, Federici's Pizzeria, the Metropolitan Cafe and the Court Jester will donate 15 percent of your pre-tax food bill to the Freehold Memorial Day Parade.
