Saint Robert’s Summer Series
The parish of Saint Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold, New Jersey, will host a summer series during the months of July and August. The focus of the series will be the video series "Catholicism" hosted by Father Robert E. Barron. This video series has been presented on both PBS and EWTN and in a variety of parishes during the last year. The Summer Series will be held on Wednesday evenings in the Parish Hall of St. Roberts from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., where 6 of the 11 presentations will be viewed, with table discussion to follow. Interested persons can sign up for the whole series, or just attend those presentations that your schedule permits. The 2012 Summer Series will cover the following themes:
July 11, The Revelation of God Become Mass
July 18, The Teachings of Jesus
July 25, Peter, Paul and the Missionary Adventure
August 1, The Mystery of the Liturgy & the Eucharist
August 8, The Communion of Saints
August 22, The Last Things
It is the hope of the Adult Faith Formation Committee, that during these days of summer, you will make time to join with other Catholics to come to a deeper understanding of the Church and our faith…we call Catholic. More About St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church
Thirty years after it was built in 1971, St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church dedicated a new building on Georgia Road—a streamlined basilica with simple rose windows and roman arches. In addition to weekday and weekend mass, the congregation convenes for holy days, first Friday adoration, sacraments of reconciliation and weekly baptisms. Mass is complemented by varied performances by adult, children's and folk choirs. The church offers religious education for children and a youth group that participates in community service and church projects. In addition to a special ministry for seniors, the adult ministries at St Robert provide many opportunities for fellowship and mission work in the local community. St. Robert Bellarmine is a parish under the tutelage of the Catholic Diocese in Trenton.
