Love is in the air.
On February 16th, mezzo soprano Martha Bartz accompanied by her pianist Mory Ortman present a cabaret performance that will delight Valentine’s Day audiences. Martha has graced stages from the Metropolitan Room and Carnegie Hall in New York City to New Jersey’s Great Auditorium sharing her unique ability to move her beautiful silky sound seamlessly between musical art forms.
Martha Bartz is a versatile vocalist performing regularly in a number of genres. Martha partnered 6 years ago in her debut performance at Carnegie Hall with Dr. Mory Ortman, a freelance music director, pianist/accompanist and vocalist in New York City. Since then, they have worked together regularly and are thrilled to be presenting this Valentine concert.
The concert includes the song cycle, December Songs, by Maury Yeston of Broadway and film fame where art song and cabaret styles combine. Also programmed are songs of love, life, longing, loss and living from the great American composers, old and new, with a special focus on the upcoming Spring. You will leave this presentation with love and hope in your hearts.

More About St Peter's Episcopal Church
The first members of St. Peter's worshipped in a Quaker meeting house near Marlboro, N.J. in 1702. The cornerstone of a simple church on Throckmorton Street was laid in 1771, and later embellished to the more gothic style evident today. The church offers three services on Sundays: a quiet 7:45am service; a family service at 9am with traditional hymns and informal worship songs in gospel, folk, rock or jazz traditions; and a traditional sing and response service at 11am without Holy Communion. A Spanish-language service is available on Saturday nights. In addition to children's and adults' vocal and handbell choirs, the church has a praise band, Peter's Rock. Active in local and worldwide outreach, St. Peter's Episcopal Church is a member of the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey and the worldwide Anglican Communion.
