Beautiful Day For a Farmer's Market

Labor Day Weekend is just around the corner and with the farmer’s markets in downtown Freehold running through October there is still plenty of time to get fresh fruits and vegetables to enjoy in your home.

The market will be open again today from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in front of the Hall of Records and always includes a wide variety of items to be purchased and tasted.

The National Weather Service is predicting a beautiful and slightly warm day on Friday following Thursday’s rain. The high temperature is expected to be around 85 degrees before dropping to around 61 at night. Saturday also looks good for a day outside with a high near 80 and a low of 58 after sunset. The weekend rounds out with a high of 80 on Sunday before a low of 60 on Sunday night.

Today is National Ride the Wind Day and on this date in 2000 the first season of “Survivor” premiered on CBS. Famous birthdays include Kobe Bryant who turns 35 today and Jordan’s Queen Noor turns 62. Other famous people who were born today included actor Gene Kelly and King Louis XVI of France.
