Black Friday Comes Early to Freehold

A look at events happening in Freehold on Thursday November 28, 2013.

After the last wishbone has been broken and the last menorah candle burns out on Thursday night many local shoppers will head to the stores to kick off their annual Black Friday traditions.

Places like the Freehold Raceway Mall and the Jackson Premium Outlets will have special opening times as will some other stores in Freehold. Walmart will remain open 24 hours a day for the shopper who just can’t get enough bargains. The Target will be open as of 8 p.m. on Thursday and stay open until 11 p.m. on Friday. Just a stone’s throw from the mall Toys ‘R’ Us is scheduled to open at 5 p.m. on Thursday and stay open through Friday.

No matter when you are shopping expect to be cold even when bumping into your fellow shoppers. The National Weather Service is calling for a high of just 35 degrees today and a low of only 25 tonight. Even when the sun comes back up on Friday it will only bring a high temperature of 40 degrees to our area.
