Whether you are looking to network, help other people or just enjoy some good music downtown Freehold is the place to be today.
Freehold LeTip is holding a blood drive at the American Hotel today from 6:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The drive will help fill the local blood banks and if enough people participate could help people recovering from Hurricane Sandy. If 50 pints of blood are collected at the drive New Jersey Blood Services will donate $500 to a nonprofit helping in the recovery efforts from last year’s storm.
The downtown concert series will continue tonight weather permitting with Eaglemania playing some of the top hits from The Eagles in front of the Hall of Records. The concert is set to start at 7:30 p.m. and run until 9:30.
Unfortunately the National Weather Service is predicting a forecast that could complicate tonight’s concert plans. Scattered showers and thunderstorms could linger in our area after 10 a.m. with a high near 87 and a low of around 67 at night. The chances of storms are around 40 percent throughout the day with a quarter inch of precipitation possible.
Not only is today Be an Angel Day it is also National Tooth Fairy Day, making for a whimsical, albeit rainy Thursday.
