Country Music Coming to Freehold Thursday Night

A look at events happening in Freehold on Thursday January 16, 2014.

Freehold will have a decidedly musical feel on Thursday as fans of country music and more traditional sounds will be treated to special performances around town.

The Freehold Jewish Center will welcome the Liberty Oak Chorus to town for a special performance and to give local residents a chance to learn more about the Sweet Adelines International organization. The show is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

Meanwhile iPlay America will have a decidedly country feel tonight when musician Eric Paslay comes to town. Performing his hit song “Friday Night” among others Paslay will be playing a free show that everyone is encouraged to attend and see an up and coming star.

In addition to the musical performances the Freehold Township Planning Board will also be holding its annual reorganization meeting on Thursday night.

The National Weather Service is calling for a mostly sunny day today with a high near 41 degrees and winds blowing near 8 MPH. When the sun goes down the temperature is expected to drop to a low of around 28 degrees. While Friday is supposed to be mostly sunny there is a chance of rain and snow showers from Friday night into Saturday though there is not expected to be a considerable amount of accumulation.
