Cold and Flu season is right around the corner and today in Freehold you can do something to stop the spread of Flu while also getting a good meal to benefit a local tradition.
A flu shot clinic will be held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Freehold Elks Lodge. The clinic is for residents only and all people getting shots must be 18-years-old or older. The cost is $20 but the shot is free for seniors who bring their Medicare card.
There is also a fundraiser being held all day at San Marzano Trattoria in downtown Freehold. Over the course of the day the restaurant will donate 10 percent of the pre-tax food bill to the Freehold Memorial Day Parade Committee.
