Freehold Schools Open Wednesday Before NJEA Convention

A look at events happening in Freehold on Wednesday November 6, 2013.

Schools in Freehold Township and Freehold Borough will wrap up a short week today. After being open on Monday schools were closed on Election Day and will be closed again Thursday and Friday for the NJEA Convention in Atlantic City.

Barnes & Noble on Route 9 will host a book signing by Rebecca Cipriano and Kenneth Herman of their book Pop: Burst the Diet Bubble and Finally Lose Weight. The authors will be speaking starting at 7 p.m. at the store.

The National Weather Service is predicting a relatively warm and partly sunny day with a high near 61 during the day. There is at least a 30 percent chance of showers tonight when the temperature is expected to drop to around 53 degrees. The rain is expected to start after 2 a.m. and run through the day on Thursday.
