Freehold Township BOE Meeting Tuesday Night

A look at events happening around Freehold on Tuesday October 1, 2013.

It is the first day of October and right off the bat the Freehold Township Board of Education is set to meet tonight as the school year enters its second month.

The agenda for the meeting has not been posted yet but it figures to be busy as the district continues to get into the heart of the year. It is just the second time the board has met since the school year started.

Future chefs can get their time in the kitchen started today when Hope Christian School on Elton-Adelphia Road starts its Kids in the Kitchen Cooking Class at 12:30 for children under the age of 5 and 3:30 for those under the age of 12.

The first day of October is also World Vegetarian Day so for people who do not like meat this is your day to enjoy a vegetable enriched treat. The forecast for today calls for fog in the morning before a mostly sunny day with a high near 79 and a low of 60 tonight.
