Golden Corral Approval on Freehold Council Agenda

A look at events happening in and around Freehold on Tuesday September 10, 2013.

The Freehold Township Council is getting back to work tonight with their first meeting of the fall, and while it looks to be a quiet night there will be more work to do before the elections in two months and the end of the year just four months from now.

One item on the agenda is a resolution authorizing the Freehold Township Police Department to apply for a Drunk Driving Enforcement Fund Grant and amending the budget for the year to reflect the added money. The township is also preparing for winter with a resolution authorizing the purchase of rock salt through the Monmouth County Cooperative Pricing System.

According to the contract the Township will pay $55.60 per ton of rock salt with a limit of $300,000.
