Halloween at Freehold Raceway Mall

A look at events happening in Freehold on Thursday October 31, 2013.

The forecast for this Halloween is definitely better than it was a year ago but there is still a chance that trick or treating outside could get washed away or at least dampened by rain.

Local residents will still have a chance to get their Halloween fun in at a dry location as the Freehold Raceway Mall will be hosting some spooktacular events. From 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. some stores will have trick or treating opportunities. Trick or Treaters who come to the mall in costume and go to the LEGO store will get a free LEGO Monster Fighters THE MONSTER key chain. Macy’s is also getting into the spirit of the holiday with a Spook Tackular of its own. There will be a special appearance by The King Elvis Presley in the cosmetics department on the first floor.

The National Weather Service is leaving a lot of uncertainty in the forecast for today with a 20 percent chance of showers mostly after 1 p.m. but a high temperature of 67 degrees expected during the day. The chance of showers increases to 40 percent especially after 4 a.m. through Thursday night into Friday and a still unseasonably warm low of 62 for our area.
