If you are a music fan then Freehold is the place to be on Friday night as two churches and a local business will all have performances to fit your style.
The Bethel AME Church will be hosting the first of three concerts in their holiday series. Tonight’s performance is a Christmas play featuring the Bethel Church School students.
Not too far away the St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church will be hosting its Christmas Carol Festival. If the weather cooperates the event will start with the lighting of the church’s Christmas tree before moving inside for the rest of the show.
If church is not your scene for a Friday night Cafe 360 will welcome Don Lee to perform on Main Street. Lee is an acoustic guitar player and singer who plays a wide variety of songs while customers enjoy the restaurant’s edible delights.
The tree lighting may not happen as scheduled as the National Weather Service is calling for a 60 percent chance of rain during the day on Friday with a high of 53 degrees. The chance of rain improves to 90 percent at night when the low stays just above freezing at around 35 degrees.
Rain is expected to carry through Saturday before a mostly clear night. The question after that is whether our area will see rain or snow or a mix from sunday into Monday. Any precipitation is not expected to bring much accumulation if any according to the most recent forecasts.
