NJNG Application on Thursday Planning Board Agenda

A look at events happening in Freehold on Thursday December 5, 2013.

The Freehold VFW is giving local residents a chance to get a jump on their holiday shopping tonight with a vendor shopping event at the Water Works Road post.

Various vendors are scheduled to attend selling a wide variety of items for people of all ages. There will also be a 50/50 as well as coffee and finger foods and a cash bar. Participants are asked to bring an unwrapped gift for the Toys for Tots Drive.

The Freehold Township Planning Board is also scheduled to meet on Thursday night. The agenda includes an application from New Jersey Natural Gas to build a compressed natural gas fueling station at 850 Route 33.

According to the National Weather Service we may not see the sun for several days and have a chance to see our first real snowfall of the winter this weekend. The high temperature for today is expected to be around 62 on a cloudy day with a 30 percent chance of rain. The rain should continue into tonight with a low around 51 degrees. The chance of rain increases to close to 60 percent at night leading into a rainy and potentially snowy weekend.
