Pediatric Flu Clinic Tuesday in Freehold

Cold and Flu season has arrived and the Monmouth County Board of Health wants to make sure residents of all ages are as protected as possible as the weather gets colder.

A pediatric flu shot clinic is being held at the Freehold Township Municipal Building from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesday. The cost is just $20 and walk-ins are welcome. All Monmouth County residents are eligible for the shots at the Freehold location.

The Freehold Township Board of Education is scheduled to meet on Tuesday night. One of the items on the agenda is to accept the retirement of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Janet Creech at the end of the current school year.

According to the National Weather Service it should be a mostly sunny day across our area with a high near 54 degrees with a wind blowing between 8 and 11 MPH. It will be a little cooler tonight with a low around 42 degrees. The chance of showers for Halloween eve has dropped from 50 percent to 30 percent which should be good news for trick or treaters.

Today is not only Hermit Day for people who do not want to leave the house, but it is also National Frankenstein Day as a nice warmup for the big Halloween activities.
