Silent Movie Comes to Life in Freehold Friday

A look at events happening in Freehold on Friday October 25, 2013.

Events in Freehold tonight have the makings for a memorable night for everyone involved.

The First United Methodist Church on West Main Street will be showing the classic horror film Nosferatu at 7 p.m. Though it is a silent film the movie will be accompanied by theater organist Brittany Montoro just like it was when it first premiered in 1922.

Before the movie starts just down the road the Freehold Elks Lodge will be hosting Pizza Night. For a small fee visitors to the lodge can enjoy made to order pizzas by the Women’s Auxiliary as well as fresh salad to make it a complete meal.

A new tradition in Freehold will also start tonight as iPlay America hosts its first Ultimate Teen Nightlife Experience. From 8 p.m. until midnight teens will be able to enjoy a night of unlimited games, rides and music with an appearance from 92.3 NOW personalities. Parents can drop their kids off or spend the time at City Square Bar & Grill where there will be food and drink specials all night.

The National Weather Service is predicting a cool but clear day across our area with a high temperature of 55 degrees expected during the day with a low of 33 that includes patchy frost after 4 a.m.

To get you in the mood for Halloween today is Frankenstein Day and if you are looking for something to do for dinner it is also World Pasta Day.
