Township Committee Holding Last Regular Meeting Before Elections

A look at events happening in Freehold on Tuesday October 22, 2013.

Election Day is two weeks from today making it the last regularly scheduled meeting of the Freehold Township Committee before local voters go to the polls.

One of the items on the agenda is appropriating $750,000 from the township’s Capital Improvement Fund for the emergency replacement of a culvert on Stonehurst Boulevard. There will also be a resolution authorizing buying supplies for the water and sewer system for the Utilities Department. The resolution does not identify specific items but says the amount spent will not be more than $17,500.

The Freehold Township High School Dance Team will also be holding a Zumbathon to raise money for new uniforms for the upcoming year. The event starts at 3:30 at the high school.

The nice weather that we enjoyed on Monday looks to continue Tuesday during the day with a high near 68 expected according to the National Weather Service. Rain is expected to arrive Tuesday night into Wednesday with a low around 49 according to the latest forecasts Monday night.
