Weekend Events Depend on Cloudy Forecast

A look at events happening in and around Freehold on Friday August 16, 2013.

The past few days have spoiled us with clear forecasts and no rain on the horizon. The National Weather Services is reporting there is a chance that could change for the next few days but not until tomorrow.

With a high of 78 predicted for today it should be a great day to head to downtown Freehold for another farmer’s market before the temperature dips to a low of 59 tonight. There is at least a 20 percent chance of showers tomorrow during the day and a 30 percent chance of showers tonight through Sunday night.

If the weather holds off then local residents are invited to Lake Topanemus on Sunday to join Borough Mayor Nolan Higgins for a paddle out on the lake. The downtown section of the Borough is also scheduled to be the site of another jazz concert on Sunday night presented by the Freehold Borough Arts Council.
