The Medical and Dental Staff of CentraState Medical Center present the Band Aid Open

We are very pleased to announce that the 37th annual outing will take place Tuesday, June 11th, at Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle, NJ. Over 200 golfers are expected, including business and community leaders as well as physicians.

The proceeds from the 2013 Band Aid Open are designated for a very critical need in the communities of Central Jersey – The Melanoma & Skin Cancer Center at CentraState Medical Center.

Every year more than 1 million Americans are affected by skin cancer and every hour an American will die from melanoma, the most lethal form of skin cancer. Fortunately, melanoma is nearly always curable if detected at an early, and therefore treatable, stage.

The impetus for locating a Melanoma & Skin Cancer Center at CentraState came from the fact that Monmouth and Ocean Counties have the highest incidences of melanoma in New Jersey.  Our Melanoma Center provides comprehensive screening, prevention, and treatment services and utilizes the most effective screening process called MoleSafe. The MoleSafe program combines cutting edge technology with the skills of a panel of highly qualified melanoma dermatologists/dermoscopists to diagnose melanoma at the earliest possible stage.
