What a disappointment! Dining out on Mother's Day is something I always look forward to and this year we decided to try Angelina's. What a mistake. I knew once I heard there was a set menu with a one set price for all it would be trouble. I read the reviews and was happy to see the public was very happy over all.
Here are my complaints...If you are charging $45.00 per person then put some food on the plate!
We were a large party and everything serverd were the smallest portions I have ever seen. From the appetizers to main course. One small bread plate of fried zuccini chips for the table was the first of many disappointments. One piece of fresh Mozzarella with two cherry tomatos was one of the appetizers then the eggplant rolletini ...the size of a mozzarella stick...fried calamari...maybe 10 small pieces (I am being gernerous) Then dinner arrives. The salmon was the size of an oreo, the veal was hidden under a pound of arugala which was a little larger than an oreo, the short rib dish was just horrible and the shrimp, lobster scallop scampi was served in a monkey dish consisting of 2 scallops, one shrimp and one lobster claw.
Then the cost of the Pelligrino water...I don't even want to say...
We all left STARVING!
NEVER AGAIN! TOTAL RIP OFF!
