A body in motion will stay in motion. Not only is this phrase used to summarize one of Newton’s three laws of motion, but it’s also true for the human body. Exercise and physical activity are essential components of a healthy lifestyle.
The Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, will present HealthEASE Move Today, a non-aerobic exercise program designed to help older adults improve their physical capabilities.
Offered in a non-intimidating environment, sessions will be held each Friday beginning January 10 through March 28 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Center for Healthy Living at Kimball Medical Center, located at 198 Prospect Street in Lakewood.
Health coaches will provide simple, easy and effective ways for participants to increase strength and flexibility, improve balance and posture, relieve tension and stress, reduce the risk of falls and injury and use new techniques in everyday activities.
This ongoing program is free, but preregistration is required by calling 732-597-6075.
