Update From Freehold Borough Educational Foundation

Volunteers needed to work as road guards at the NJ Marathon on April 27 to raise money for the foundation.

Last year the Freehold Borough Educational Foundation brought 30 volunteers to the New Jersey Marathon to serve as road guards. Because of these efforts we received a donation of $2666.67 from the NJ Marathon’s parent organization. We hope to do even better this year.

This year we are bringing back the 4th grade Bike Safety Program and we have already helped every 2nd and 3rd grade student buy reading books at the PTO book fairs. Our annual small grants awards put over $15,000.00 in the classrooms in the form of innovative projects. Now it is time to replenish our coffers.

T-shirts will be provided and Lunch if you stay until the end. Volunteers need to dress warmly, even though we will be one block from the beach. Students under 18 must have an adult chaperone. A community service letter will be provided upon request.
