Heritage awareness and restoration is the goal of Andrew and Daniel’s Bar Mitzvah project. Preservation of structures, traditions, rituals, memories and our collective roots has become all the more important.

Countless cultural heritage sites are threatened to be erased from existence. Significant historic sites throughout the world are in a state of forgotten ruin, and so Andrew and Daniel ask that you support their project, the preservation of our heritage 

Through “THE WORLD MONUMENT Funds’” (WMF) Jewish Heritage special initiatives, we chose the GREAT SYNAGOGUE OF IAŞI, the oldest Synagogue in Romania, second oldest in Eastern Europe. www.project42614.com identifies the WMF’s remarkable efforts restoring and preserving rich culturally significant heritage sites all over the world.

We are Lisa and Ted, the VERY proud parents of Andrew and Daniel!  This Bar Mitzvah Project has become a passion for our entire family.

The boys are busy preparing to celebrate their ritual first aliyah’s, being called up to the Torah to recite the blessings and reading Parashat HaShavua פָּרָשַׁת הַשָּׁבוּעַ.

This Bar Mitzvah project has taught the boys to appreciate how their growing comprehension of our Jewish heritage, has become a life long journey to a rational awareness of our ancestry.
