A Winter Wonderland Competition

Freehold Borough Recreation Commission and Freehold Beautiful, Inc will begin judging for the annual Holiday House Decorating Contest at 5:30 p.m. tonight.

The long hours spent finding, checking and stringing up those holiday decorations will pay off for a few lucky Freehold Borough residents tonight. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. local students will be driving through the streets of Freehold Borough in search of the borough’s best decorated holiday display.

In order to be judged in this years contest residents just need to have their lights on by 5:30 p.m. Sheryl Mott, Chair of the Recreation Commission Board explained that judging takes anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half.  “Students will be driving through all the streets in the borough, people will not even know that they are being judged or that they won until they get a knock at their door,” said Mott.

Freehold Borough will be divided into multiple sections and each section will have their own first place, second place and third place winners.
